Inspect the U.S. HTS releases published by the anonymous Tariff Code Compliance Explorer metadata API without inferring lifecycle facts the API does not state.
Default, current, historical, and superseded are different claims
Default means the version selected by the public API when a request omits a version. Current is a broader lifecycle claim and is not inferred here. Historical means a release used for a dated record. Superseded requires explicit lifecycle evidence.
The public metadata currently identifies 2026-rev-16 as the default release. An available release with a higher revision number is not automatically the default or current release.

As-of basis: this list is fetched from anonymous public metadata when the page is rendered and revalidated hourly. The API does not supply a separate verification timestamp.

Published metadata limits
The anonymous tariff-system metadata does not currently publish effective dates, verification timestamps, lifecycle or supersession labels, or code-level diffs. Those fields are therefore not invented on this page. Use the exact-version pages for stable evidence and the changes guide for the supported comparison boundary.
Dated example record: cotton T-shirt provision 6109.10.00.12 in the verified 2026-rev-16 evidence capture. This example remains pinned even when the API-designated default changes.
